Street

As our Nomarch had told us and wrote in our previous edition, our street has been auctioned. We went to the local agency of our Prefecture and obtained this information for you: The invitation to tender published at the "Evritaniko Palmo" on 7/19/06 and the decision of the 2nd Prefectural committee No. 73 of 8/21/06. The PDE SAEP 066 will fund the estimated budget of 1.500.000 euro including tax with existing credit for 200.000 euro for the year 2006. It was assigned to the construction company of Ch. G. Pappas/Konstantinos Ch. Pappas O.E. with a discount of 27.10%

We also met and discussed with the Chief of the technical services, Mr. Nikolao Gorogia, who told us that the result of the auction has already been approved by the B' Prefectural Committee with out any objections and appeals and that the file was transmitted to the Electoral Committee for its legal status. As soon as the approval is granted the petition for the contract signature will be announced together with the sponsor of the project.

The roadworks restarted in August 2008. The construction is expected to last about a year. The first part of the road was covered with asphalt in July 2009. About 3 km remain from Monastiraki to East Paparousi and the route from East to West Paparousi.
