During discussions with our fellow villager Gianni Antonopoulo, we talked about the abandonment of the stone fount "Giannogianeva" in West Paparousi. We visited the fount with much difficulty but we were impressed by it. We think it is necessary to nominate it as a monument of West Paparousi.
The fount is over 100 years old. We ask that anyone with information about its history, its name, and its construction to come forth. This information will form a history summary and will be submitted to the Karpenisi Municipality so it can be included in an EU program.
Since access to the fount is only possible through narrow stone paths, which have been blocked by bushes and lops, we believe that the opening of the road towards the area "Daneika" or "Keithe Mahalas" will help the development of the area.
